American Summer: Cinema on the Sand

An outdoor film screening on the sand brings a piece of American adventure storytelling to Lummus Park as part of a seasonal cinema series. Taking place Sunday, June 14, American Summer – Cinema on the Sand is presented by the City of Miami Beach as part of its OnStage! programming and aligns with the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The evening features a screening of National Treasure (2004), directed by Jon Turteltaub and starring Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger and Justin Bartha. The PG-rated film follows a historian’s search for a hidden treasure tied to the Founding Fathers, blending historical references with action and mystery in a family-friendly format.

Set along Ocean Drive at 14th Street, the event invites attendees to bring beach chairs or blankets for a casual viewing experience in an open-air setting. Admission is free.
