An Evening of Ballet with Miami City Ballet Pre-Professional Division

Two ballet performances and an interactive dance class bring an afternoon and evening of movement to Doral Central Park’s outdoor amphitheater. Taking place Saturday, November 14, the free program features dancers from Miami City Ballet School’s Pre-Professional Division.

The afternoon begins with Rita Finds Home, a family-friendly ballet about a young artist who must rebuild her life after a hurricane forces her and her mother to leave their tropical island home. Choreographed by Amy Hall Garner and developed through a collaboration between Miami City Ballet and The Joffrey Ballet, the work explores creativity, resilience and belonging.

Between performances, audience members can participate in a group dance class. The evening closes with Ballet Classics.

The program schedule includes:

• 4:30–5:30 p.m.: Rita Finds Home
• 6–6:30 p.m.: Interactive group dance class
• 7–8 p.m.: Ballet Classics

Admission is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
