An Evening of Discovery: The Science Behind Pixar
Nov 05, 2026
From: 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Pixar’s blend of storytelling, technology and scientific innovation sets the theme for an evening of dining, presentations and philanthropy at Frost Science. The museum’s signature annual fundraising gala takes place Thursday, November 5, drawing community leaders, corporate partners and science supporters together around its educational mission. This year’s program is inspired by The Science Behind Pixar, an interactive exhibition exploring the science, technology, engineering and mathematics used to create animated films.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by a seated dinner and remarks from Steve May, Chief Technology Officer at Pixar Animation Studios. May will discuss the relationship between creative storytelling and the technological advances behind Pixar’s animation.
Proceeds support Frost Science exhibitions, educational programs, community outreach and conservation initiatives. Susan and Richard Lampen and Sunshine and Martin Lorilla serve as event co-chairs. Sponsorships and table purchases are available through the Frost Science Advancement team.
