An Evening on Ocean Drive: Jazz + Art

Live jazz and projected video art unfold across Ocean Drive in a free evening connected to Edouard Duval-Carrié’s From Venice with Love retrospective. The program takes place Sunday, August 9 in Miami Beach, beginning at Lummus Park near 14th Place and Ocean Drive and continuing at The Betsy Orb.

The Assel Jean-Pierre Jr. Trio performs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. At 8 p.m., the official opening of the ORB video installation presents moving-image works by Duval-Carrié on The Betsy’s illuminated skybridge, curated by Carl-Philippe Juste.

Presented by The Betsy Hotel, the FIU Public Humanities Lab and the Ocean Drive Association, the paired events extend the public programming surrounding Duval-Carrié’s retrospective at The Betsy. Admission is free.
