An Evening with Kyle MacLachlan

Actor Kyle MacLachlan reflects on four decades of film and television, creative collaboration and the shifting line between performer and persona during a conversation at the University of Miami’s Bill Cosford Cinema. Presented Friday, November 27 by Books & Books in partnership with the Miami Film Festival, the event marks the release of MacLachlan’s memoir, Fictional Selves, with film critic and Cosford Cinema director Rene Rodriguez moderating.

MacLachlan is known for a career spanning David Lynch’s Dune, Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks, as well as roles in Sex and the City, Showgirls and Fallout. In Fictional Selves, he looks back at the roles and collaborators that shaped his career while examining fame, ambition, family and the relationship between his public image and private life.

Tickets are required and include admission for one guest and one copy of Fictional Selves, distributed at the event. Additional copies will be available for purchase.
