Annual Black History Brunch & Awards
Feb 14, 2026
Starting: 9:00 AM
A Black History Month gathering brings together music, community leadership and faith-centered celebration through an awards brunch program in Miami Gardens.
The 9th Annual Black History Brunch & Awards takes place on Saturday, February 14, at the Albert E. & Sadie B. Smith Conference Center at Florida Memorial University. Presented by the Miami-Dade Alliance of Gospel Music Professionals, the event centers on honoring Black history, the faith community and leaders whose work has made a lasting impact across music, culture and civic life.
The program pairs a seated brunch with live gospel music performances, creating a space that blends reflection, recognition and celebration. Awards will be presented to community leaders, artists and industry professionals whose contributions continue to shape South Florida’s cultural and spiritual landscape.
Designed as both a commemorative and communal experience, the brunch offers an opportunity to connect across generations while marking Black History Month through music, storytelling and shared acknowledgment of service and achievement.
