Armour Dance Theatre's The Nutcracker

Young dancers, pre-professional students and guest artists come together for Armour Dance Theatre’s annual staging of The Nutcracker at The Fillmore Miami Beach. Presented Saturday, December 12 with afternoon and evening performances, the production features students from Armour Dance Theatre’s six locations alongside New World School of the Arts dancers in advanced roles and professional guest performers.

The holiday ballet is part of Armour Dance Theatre’s broader effort to make classical dance accessible to young audiences, with a cast designed to reflect the diversity of South Florida. The organization also presents field-trip performances for public school students and previously introduced a sensory-inclusive version of The Nutcracker for audiences with differing sensory needs.

Public performances take place at 2 and 7 p.m. at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater.
