Art of Transformation: At the Edge of Entanglement
Dec 04, 2025
From: Noon to 2:00 PM
A midday panel at The ARC brings together artists and scholars for a conversation shaped by contemporary Black thought and creative practice.
At the Edge of Entanglement, part of the 13th annual Art of Transformation, examines how artists respond to the legacies of slavery, colonialism and systemic oppression through decolonial approaches to painting, sculpture, installation, digital media and performance. Drawing on thinkers such as Saidiya Hartman, Christina Sharpe, Sylvia Wynter, Fred Moten and Tina Campt, the discussion considers Black artistic production as both a form of witnessing and a tool for imagining liberated futures.
Presented by Ten North Group, the program unfolds December 4 at The ARC in Opa-locka. Free parking is available, and all exhibitions and talks are open to the public as part of Miami Art Week’s Art of Transformation programming.
