Nov 05, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Artist Zoë Buckman joins PAMM Associate Curator Maritza M. Lacayo for a conversation examining how art can address the experiences of survivors of domestic violence. Held Thursday, November 5 at Pérez Art Museum Miami, the program marks the opening of Zoë Buckman: Show Me Your Bruises, Then, a new three-channel video installation organized by Lacayo.
Buckman and Lacayo will discuss the artist’s multidisciplinary practice and the themes informing the exhibition, with particular attention to trauma, vulnerability and survival. Before the talk, community tables will offer resources related to domestic violence and sexual assault.
Born in East London and based in Brooklyn, Buckman works across sculpture, installation, textiles, video, ceramics, neon and painting. Her work is held in collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami. Museum admission is free on Thursdays after 5 p.m.
