Art Week Bubbles and Brunch Featuring Vanessa German
Dec 06, 2026
From: 9:00 AM to Noon
Art Week visitors can pair a champagne brunch with a closer look at the work and practice of multidisciplinary artist vanessa german at the Lowe Art Museum. Held Sunday, December 6, the museum’s annual Bubbles and Brunch serves as its flagship Miami Art Week program, beginning with a reception for Art Week participants and Lowe members and concluding with a lecture by german.
A self-taught artist working across sculpture, performance and communal art-making, german is particularly known for assemblage sculptures she calls “power figures,” created from materials such as wood, plaster, beads, glass, textiles and found objects. Her practice considers storytelling, spirituality, community and the transformative possibilities of art.
The champagne reception runs through the first portion of the morning, followed by german’s lecture during the final hour of the program.
