Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida: Spring Gala

Classical and contemporary ballet share the stage in a season finale marking Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida’s 30th anniversary. The annual gala takes place Saturday, May 1 aat the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center under the direction of Artistic Director Vladimir Issaev.
The program features Issaev’s interpretation of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, along with August Bournonville’s Flower Festival Pas de Deux. Issaev’s Taiko Mix draws on the rhythmic force of Japanese drumming, while El Encuentro celebrates Latin American music and movement.
A complimentary 30-minute pre-show discussion begins at 7 p.m. for ticket holders. VIP tickets include preferred seating and one drink voucher. Latecomers will not be seated until intermission.
