Asake: In God We Trust Tour

Nigerian singer-songwriter Asake brings his Afrobeats, fuji and amapiano-influenced sound to downtown Miami on the In God We Trust Tour. The concert takes place Wednesday, September 2 at 8 p.m. at the James L. Knight Center. A two-time Grammy-nominated artist, Asake has become one of Afrobeats’ most prominent global voices, known for Yoruba-inflected storytelling, melodic hooks and rhythm-driven live performances.

His 2022 debut album, Mr. Money With the Vibe, became a major breakthrough and was followed by Work of Art and Lungu Boy, with songs including “Lonely at the Top,” “Remember” and “Wave.” His music draws on Nigerian popular traditions while moving fluidly through contemporary Afropop and club-facing sounds.

The Miami stop follows a period of international growth for Asake, including sold-out arena performances on his Lungu Boy World Tour at venues such as Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and London’s O2 Arena.
