Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta
Apr 01, 2027 - Apr 03, 2027
Schedule varies daily.
An international fleet will gather on Biscayne Bay for a week of world-class racing and shoreside celebrations during one of sailing’s most historic regattas. The 100th edition of the Bacardi Cup returns to Coconut Grove bringing elite sailors from around the world to compete on the waters off Coral Reef Yacht Club and neighboring sailing venues throughout the Grove.
First established in 1927, the Bacardi Cup is among the world’s longest-running sailing events and represents one of the most prestigious traditions in the sport. Dedicated to the renowned Star Class, the regatta regularly attracts Olympic medalists, America’s Cup competitors, world champions, and accomplished amateur sailors competing side by side on Biscayne Bay. The 2027 event marks a historic milestone as the regatta celebrates its centennial edition.
Across the full Bacardi Series, more than 600 sailors representing over 20 nations are expected to participate. In 2027, the Bacardi Cup and Bacardi Invitational Regatta will be held as separate events, allowing each competition to take center stage. The Bacardi Invitational Regatta, featuring J/70, Melges 24, VX One, and Snipe classes, will take place April 1-3, 2027.
Racing unfolds on the sparkling waters of Biscayne Bay and can be viewed from various waterfront locations throughout Coconut Grove, including areas near Coral Reef Yacht Club, Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, Shake-A-Leg Miami, Coconut Grove Sailing Club, and the US Sailing Center.
Beyond the racing, the Bacardi Cup is known for its vibrant social atmosphere. Competitors and spectators can enjoy post-race gatherings, live music, hospitality events, and the legendary Bacardi happy hours that have become a hallmark of the regatta experience. Blending elite competition with a century of tradition, the Bacardi Cup offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience one of sailing’s most celebrated events in the heart of Miami.
