Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta
Mar 01, 2026 - Mar 07, 2026
Schedule varies daily.
An international fleet gathers on Biscayne Bay for a week of world-class racing and shoreside celebrations during one of sailing’s most historic regattas. The Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta returns to Coconut Grove March 1–7, with competition staged on the waters off Coral Reef Yacht Club.
Now in its 99th edition, the Bacardi Cup is among the world’s longest-running sailing events, first established in 1927. The regatta is anchored in the prestigious Star Class and regularly attracts Olympic medalists, America’s Cup sailors, world champions and accomplished amateur teams competing on the same starting line. One race is held per day in keeping with Star Class tradition.
Expanding beyond the Star Class, the Bacardi Invitational Regatta also features high-performance fleets including J/70, Melges 24, VX-One and Viper 640 classes. More than 600 sailors from over 20 countries are expected to participate across the week.
Racing takes place on Biscayne Bay and can be viewed from various waterfront vantage points throughout Coconut Grove, including areas near Coral Reef Yacht Club, Biscayne Bay Yacht Club and the surrounding shoreline. Post-race gatherings and socials are hosted at participating yacht clubs and sailing centers in the Grove.
Blending elite competition with a festive atmosphere, the annual regatta combines on-the-water performance with live music, hospitality events and longstanding traditions tied to the Bacardi name.
