Backyard Basel brings Miami Art Week energy to Downtown Coral Gables with an outdoor art market, live music and an elevated VIP lounge inside the Coral Gables Museum.

On Friday, December 5, yhe museum’s monthly Gallery Night expands for the occasion, filling the plaza and surrounding streets with local artists and makers, food pop-ups and a full bar. Guests can browse works across a wide range of price points, listen to live music by Mama Fuma and enjoy casual bites from Chote Burger and Ai Tallarín alongside beer, wine and cocktails, including a dedicated station from Prison Pals Brewing Co.

Inside the museum, the VIP Collectors’ Lounge offers a more immersive experience with large-scale installations, artist meet-and-greets, and curated culinary offerings from Michelin-recommended Zitz Sum and Kojin, plus Dojo Izakaya, paired with selections from Happy Wine Calle Ocho and Unseen Creatures Brewing & Blending.

The evening also coincides with the debut of Happy 100th Birthday, Celia!, an exhibition celebrating the centennial of Celia Cruz with photography by Alexis Rodríguez-Duarte and Tico Torres, presented in partnership with the Celia Cruz Foundation.

VIP tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door.
