Backyard Bash: Season Kickoff Concert
Oct 17, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Reggae legends, outdoor seating and a family-friendly lawn concert open the Moss Center’s 2026-2027 season. Backyard Bash Season Kickoff Concert takes place Saturday, October 17, bringing the venue’s annual outdoor celebration back with Black Creek as the backdrop.
This year’s free concert is headlined by The Wailers featuring Julian Junior Marvin, the guitarist who joined Bob Marley & The Wailers during the making of Exodus. The set is expected to revisit classic songs associated with Marley and The Wailers, including “Stir It Up,” “I Shot the Sheriff,” “Could You Be Loved” and “Three Little Birds.”
The evening also features Third World: A Tribute to Cat Coore as special guest. The nine-time Grammy-nominated Jamaican reggae band is known for its reggae-fusion sound, blending reggae with R&B, funk, pop, rock, rap and dancehall influences.
The concert is appropriate for all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers and outside food are not permitted, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
