Bassel & The Supernaturals
This event has passed.
Experience a night of soulful melodies and funky rhythms with Bassel & The Supernaturals at The Moss Center on Friday, July 19. The evening kicks off with opening act The French Horn Collective.
Bassel & The Supernaturals, led by first-generation Syrian-American Bassel Almadani, blend soulful melodies, funk-inspired rhythms and poignant lyrics. Drawing inspiration from the rhythms of Stevie Wonder, the social justice lyricism of Jamiroquai and the jazz-infused funk of Steely Dan, their music delves into themes of love, loss, identity and the Syrian conflict. The band's upcoming national television debut on the PBS docuseries "The Express Way," starring Dule Hill, highlights their story and the transformative power of the arts.
Beyond performing at major festivals and venues, Bassel & The Supernaturals collaborate with organizations to raise awareness and empathy for Syrian refugees and immigrants. A significant portion of their proceeds supports the Karam Foundation, dedicated to building a better future for Syria.
VIP tickets include table seating and a complimentary wine, beer or soft drink.
