Sunset views, Miami history and Biscayne Bay ecology come together aboard Miami-Dade Parks’ 45-foot Parks Explorer catamaran. Organized by Miami EcoAdventures, the two-hour cruise departs from Crandon Marina and travels across the bay as daylight fades and the Miami skyline begins to illuminate.
Along the route, guides share stories about the region’s history and coastal ecosystems while passing landmarks including Crandon Park, Stiltsville, Virginia Key, Coconut Grove, Brickell and Downtown Miami. The cruise also offers opportunities to observe seagrass beds, mangrove habitat, wading birds and other wildlife that depend on Biscayne Bay.
Cruise Dates
The program is open to adults and to children ages 9 to 17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian. Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Cruises are subject to minimum enrollment, weather and environmental conditions.
