Discover comprehensive approaches to family health and wellness through interactive experiences designed for all ages. The 2025 Black Family Wellness Expo: Pathways to Health takes place on Saturday, March 15 at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex in Miami Gardens. This free community health event, jointly hosted by the Greater Miami (FL) Chapter, Dade County (FL) Chapter and Miami-Biscayne Bay Chapter (FL) of The Links, Incorporated, offers participants practical tools and resources for enhancing both physical and mental well-being.
The expo features a diverse range of activities suitable for the entire family, including free workout classes, health screenings, informational exhibits and hands-on workshops focused on developing sustainable healthy lifestyle practices. A special Trap Yoga class presented by the City of Miami Gardens will take place at 10 a.m., led by an instructor from Black Yogis of South Florida. Children can enjoy special activities including a petting zoo and kids' cardio classes, while adults can participate in hands-on cooking demonstrations and various fitness sessions. All activities are designed to help attendees discover new ways to improve their physical and mental health through practical, accessible methods.
This community-centered event aims to promote health and wellness specifically within the Black community by providing valuable resources in an engaging, family-friendly environment.
