Best Pizza in Miami
- February 08, 2026
The pizza scene in Greater Miami and Miami Beach is anything but one-note. From MICHELIN-recognized stars and ultra-thin tavern pies to Neapolitan showstoppers, oversized New York slices and distinctly Cuban takes, the destination serves every style imaginable.
Spread throughout Miami in some of the most exciting neighborhoods, you’re never far from a great pie. Whether you’re chasing late-night classics, date-night favorites or creative options paired with great wine, these standout pizza spots prove that Miami is firmly in its pizza era.
Here are some places you need to check out if you’re looking to indulge in the best pizza in Miami.

Mister O1
What once was one of Miami’s biggest hidden gems now has a place in the spotlight as one of Miami’s best pizza options – it’s even recommended by the MICHELIN Guide. Mister O1 got its start as a pizza-speakeasy, if you will, tucked inside an office building off of Lincoln Road in South Beach. These days, the pizza empire has multiple locations throughout the area.
Select from an array of 13-inch, 8-inch or “extraordinary” pies with a variety of toppings. Wondering what an “extraordinary” pie is? It’s Mister O1’s signature star-shaped pizza that’s a must-try item – especially since the points of the star (made by folding the crust strategically) are stuffed with ricotta cheese. The Star Luca, made with tomato, mozzarella and Calabrese salami, is a perennial favorite.
Lucali
Lucali is a MICHELIN-recognized Bib Gourmand restaurant, meaning it offers good food at a good value. Located in the Sunset Harbour area of South Beach, it’s a neighborhood pizza spot that should be on everyone’s list.
Ordering is easy: choose a signature pie with red sauce or a white pie, then select your toppings to create the pizza of your dreams. Toppings include everything from pepperoni and sausage to portobello mushrooms, ricotta and artichoke hearts imported from Italy. Complement your pizza with a side of pepperoni chips (they’re exactly what they sound like) for the ultimate Lucali experience.
Check out the adjacent Bay Club bar – a sister spot that also serves Lucali’s menu – for a great happy hour and themed open mic and karaoke nights.
Fratesi’s
Fratesi’s makes the kind of pizza that turns crust skeptics into loyalists, by essentially removing the crust altogether. These tavern-style pies are famously thin, crackly and cut to the edge with zero wasted space, delivering maximum topping payoff in every bite. These pies are crisp but not brittle, and rich without feeling heavy.
The Demon Pig Boy brings the heat with cupped pepperoni and pickled hot peppers, while the Demon Pig Girl keeps things savory and balanced with sausage and banana peppers. Order half-and-half, stack a couple pies on the table and embrace the old-school pizza joint vibes. This Downtown Miami pizza spot is an instant classic.
ViceVersa
ViceVersa pulls off the rare trick of being both a destination for drinks and a serious pizza stop. Located inside The Elser, near Bayside Marketplace and PortMiami, its Neapolitan pies are airy, blistered and deeply satisfying, with toppings that feel thoughtful rather than showy. The mortadella white pizza is finished with ricotta, pistachios and pesto and hits that perfect salty-creamy-nutty trifecta, while the clam pie leans briny in the best way.
Pair them with raw bar offerings and a Negroni and you’ve got the perfect meal. The room buzzes late, the cocktails are dialed in and the pizza quietly steals the spotlight.
Marc’s Artisanal Pizzeria
Marc’s Artisanal Pizzeria in North Beach is the kind of place where the dough tells the whole story. After days of slow fermentation, it emerges with flavor, structure and just the right chew. It’s never bland or never floppy, which leads to this spot selling out and having a long wait regularly.
Guests can go square with the thick-crusted Sicilian or opt for the round pie, which delivers a classic balance of crisp exterior and airy interior. If you’re torn, choose the round, as it’s nostalgic in a way that feels almost emotional. No gimmicks and no distractions, just extremely well-made pizza that reminds you why this food became iconic in the first place.
If you manage to snag a pie, takeout might be your best option as seating is fairly limited.
Bar Bucce
Bar Bucce approaches pizza the same way it approaches everything else: confidently Italian, but not precious about it. Located in Little River, this James Beard semifinalist serves pies that are generously sized and New York-leaning, with a soft, flexible center and a dramatically puffed, lightly charred crust. It’s by the same team behind Macchialina, meaning you can also count on the bottles of the on-site wine shop to be fantastic and fun.
As for the pizzas, the classics are solid, but the menu really shines when it gets playful. Whatever you do, don’t skip the shrimp pizza made with perfectly gooey stracciatella, guanciale-forward amatriciana and a surprisingly craveable zucchini and egg jam pie that regulars swear by. It’s an ideal setup for groups, outdoor hangs and wine-fueled ordering decisions that lead to “one more pizza for the table.”
Miami Slice
Once upon a time, this viral pizza was only available for pickup after submitting an order via DM on Instagram. Then Miami Slice became known for its lines that wrapped around the block once it finally opened a brick-and-mortar location in Downtown Miami.
Luckily, for the most part, the lines have died down – though this pizza is definitely still worth the wait. Offering 20-inch pies as well as by-the-slice options, the menu is short and sweet, with just five pizza options that change regularly. If you can, order the Leeks On Bacon pizza with garlic confit cream, leeks, mozzarella and crunchy bacon. Another favorite is La Salsera, made simply with tomato, vodka sauce and pesto.
Piola
Piola restaurant comes to Miami straight from Italy, meaning they know how to do pizza the right way here. The beloved chain opened its first location in Treviso in 1986, and now there are locations all over the world – including one in the Brickell area and another in Miami Beach. The house-made dough and sauce make this stand out as one of the best places for pizza in Miami.
With more than 20 traditional brick oven pizzas on the menu, it’s tough to pick just one. Ranging from traditional funghi misti, with tomato sauce, mozzarella and sautéed mushrooms, to more innovative pizzas like the Houston, topped with red sauce, mozzarella, jalapeños, avocado, tomatoes and fresh cilantro, every pie is a winner. Plus, there’s a market inside the restaurant with items imported from Italy.
Eleventh Street Pizza
Eleventh Street Pizza is home to some insanely delicious New York-style pizzas as well as fluffy, crispy Sicilian square pies. Using a sourdough starter that’s been nurtured for over eight years, it has some of the best pizza crust in the game.
You can’t go wrong with the Brooklyn cheese pizza made with organic Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, Sicilian oregano, fresh mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano, basil and sauce on top. If you’re a mushroom lover, the Wild Shroom with cremini mushrooms, thyme, shallots, mozzarella, garlic confit, caramelized onions, parsley and sourdough breadcrumbs is the way to go.
The original location is in Downtown Miami. There is also a Kendall location near Dadeland Mall that serves the same menu of great pizzas.
Casola’s
This old-school pizza joint near Coconut Grove has been around since 1982, serving some of the very best and most loved pizza in Miami. Casola’s is known for its massive “house pies” – 2-feet-wide pizzas – but the menu also features pizzas in small, medium and large sizes. Taking orders until almost 2 a.m. on weekends, it’s the perfect spot for a late-night bite.
The most popular offerings feature traditional toppings like pepperoni, sausage and plenty of veggie choices. Pair these pizzas with one of the many subs or pasta dishes that are also on the menu. If you’re really hungry and opt for pick-up or dine-in, you can munch on pizza samples at the counter while you wait.

Ironside Pizza
Tucked into a residential part of Miami’s Upper East Side, you’ll find Ironside Pizza. This quaint spot is perfect for a pizza date night, thanks to its super-cute patio and BYOB policy. Bring your favorite beverage that pairs well with pizza, and get ready to feast. Made using a 48-hour dough, these pizzas are baked on firewood using authentic Italian ingredients.
Some of the most popular pies include the Che Fame, made with mozzarella fior di latte, San Marzano tomato sauce, Italian sausage, parmacotto and soppressata, and the 4 Formaggi – a white pie made with mozzarella fior di latte, gorgonzola, grana padano and smoked mozzarella di bufala.
Polo Norte
Polo Norte is the place to go if you’re looking for some of the best Cuban pizza in Miami. With several locations, Polo Norte has been around since 1992. Not familiar with Cuban pizza? Similar to classic pizza, there’s a base of crust, sauce and cheese, but the crust is significantly more doughy, the sauce is a bit sweeter and the cheese envelops the toppings.
You’ll find classics like pepperoni and Hawaiian, but also those with extra Cuban flair, like a picadillo pizza, a pizza topped with maduros (sweet fried plantains), and one made with guava and cheese. With pizzas available in personal pan and family sizes, it’s your call whether or not you’re in the mood to share. The menu also includes an array of classic Cuban dishes.
The Alley
Award-winning Chef Laurent Tourondel’s beloved trattoria, The Alley, has officially relaunched at the MICHELIN-recognized The Betsy Hotel. Tucked away in a cozy alley, this spot is a real find for anyone craving great pizza in Miami. The menu centers around 16-inch Roman-style pies. You can go red (tomato, oregano, mozzarella, basil) or white (mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan) with your choice of toppings like prosciutto, anchovy, cremini mushrooms, and more. The menu also features fresh salads, boards loaded with salumi and cheese, and house-made gelato for dessert. Pair your meal with an Italian-inspired cocktail or a spritz. Inside, you’ll find a rustic stone pizza oven and cool art, while the outdoor patio gives you a front-row seat to the famous “Betsy Orb” sculpture.
