Black Lagoon Pop Up

Macabre décor, theatrical lighting and Halloween-themed cocktails transform The Sylvester into a gothic undersea bar throughout October. Running October 1–31, Black Lagoon brings its touring cocktail pop-up to Miami as one of 34 participating venues across the United States and Canada, pairing immersive Halloween design with a seasonal menu of cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks.

Created by bartenders Kelsey Ramage and Erin Hayes, Black Lagoon began as a small Toronto pop-up and has since expanded into a recurring North American Halloween experience. The pair draw on extensive hospitality backgrounds to build each edition around custom drinks, glassware, music and detailed environments inspired by horror, goth culture and the macabre.

The 2026 menu includes drinks such as Abyssa’s Obsession, made with pumpkin-infused Kraken Black and Gold Spiced Rums, and the tequila-based Bone Temple, along with nonalcoholic selections. The Sylvester’s Midtown Miami setting adds its own mix of cocktails, music and nostalgic Miami décor to the monthlong installation.
