Bloom After Dark Vol. 9
Nov 27, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Art inspired by Caribbean heritage and decorative Spanish tilework shares the evening with live drawing and a neighborhood market in Little Havana. Taking place Friday, November 27, at El Jardín Inn, the ninth edition of Bloom After Dark features resident artist Linda Fernandez.
A Philadelphia-based painter and muralist of Cuban, Puerto Rican and Polish heritage, Fernandez explores ideas of home through nature, architecture, history and ancestral memory. Her work reinterprets patterns and symbols found in tilework across Latin America and the Caribbean, connecting decorative traditions with questions of identity and cultural reclamation.
Additional activities run from 7 to 9 p.m.:
- Live drawing with Alla Prima: A drop-in drawing experience centered on observation and creative participation.
- El Mercadito Fridays: A market featuring local businesses, makers and vendors, with free fresh produce available to the community while supplies last.
The gathering brings together the inn’s resident artist, local creatives and neighbors for an evening of art and exchange.
