Blue Boy
Dec 05, 2025
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A Miami Art Week program unfolds at Gato Gordo Gallery with an evening dedicated to the films and artworks featured in Voices of Resilience, an exhibition exploring personal narratives of Blackness, migration, grief, transformation and healing. From 6 to 9 p.m., the gallery hosts screenings and open viewing hours within the exhibition.
At the center of the night is Blue Boy, a short poetry film by Thalia Bouchereau. The work traces a young man’s passage into adulthood, reflecting on the emotional terrain that emerges as innocence recedes and new realities take shape. The program also includes an additional presentation of Dinah Dorvil’s digital storytelling piece Finding Light in the Void, an intimate meditation on grief, rebirth and the deliberate act of choosing light after profound loss.
Guests are invited to explore the full Voices of Resilience exhibition, which brings together figurative works by artists from the United States, Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean.
This event takes place Friday, December 5.
