Canadian band Bombargo brings its soul-leaning vintage-pop sound and upbeat live energy to ZeyZey Miami. The performance takes place Wednesday, October 21, featuring a live set shaped by pop hooks, horn-driven textures and crowd-focused sing-alongs.
Formed in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Bombargo grew from the musical partnership of Nathan Thoen and Spencer Chilliak before expanding into a full band that includes members of the Thoen and Folkersen families. The group released its debut EP Back on Main in 2015, followed by the full-length album We Are Bombargo, with songs such as “Let It Grow,” “Pour Me Another” and “Mr. No Good” helping build its early following.
Bombargo gained wider attention when Taylor Swift included “Mr. No Good” on her “Songs Taylor Loves” playlist, and the single “Oxygen” later reached the Billboard Canada Hot AC chart. The band made its U.S. touring debut in 2019 and has continued to tour across North America, including support dates with Michael Franti. Its more recent work includes the album Nebula and the forthcoming Love, In Spite of Everything, with the group continuing to emphasize bright melodies, harmony-driven arrangements and a message-forward approach to songwriting.
ZeyZey Miami is an open-air cultural venue in Little Haiti known for live music, DJ events, craft cocktails, natural wines and food from Tacos María, including grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos.
