Books & Books at The Betsy: An Afternoon with Laura Lekkos

Screenwriter Laura Lekkos discusses her debut novel, All the Little Ways, during an afternoon author event at The Betsy in Miami Beach. The program takes place Sunday, August 30 and is presented with Books & Books. Sarah Arison, president of the Arison Arts Foundation, moderates the conversation.

The novel follows Victoria and Liz, two expectant mothers from sharply different backgrounds who form an unlikely friendship after meeting in a parenting class. As they navigate pregnancy, relationships, career decisions and the uncertainties of motherhood, their growing bond becomes a source of support before an unexpected event alters both of their lives.

Lekkos has written screenplays for studios including Netflix, Amazon MGM, Sony, Universal and Lionsgate, with a focus on female-centered stories. Tickets are required, with options for one or two guests that include a copy of the book, as well as a limited number of free admission tickets without a book. Additional copies will be available for purchase at the event.
