A stage production inspired by the music and legacy of Cuba’s iconic Buena Vista Social Club brings a story of artistry, memory and rediscovery to the Adrienne Arsht Center. Running September 29 through October 4, the musical anchors the opening of the 2026–27 Broadway in Miami season with its South Florida premiere in the Ziff Ballet Opera House. The engagement also serves as the national tour press opening.
The production follows legendary singer Omara Portuondo, once celebrated across Cuba as the “Queen of Feeling,” as she is drawn back into the spotlight by a young producer offering a rare recording opportunity. Through this narrative, the show explores themes of artistic legacy, second chances and the enduring emotional power of music.
Featuring a live band and a world-class cast, Buena Vista Social Club™ brings the Grammy Award-winning album to life on stage, blending storytelling with the rhythms and sounds that defined a generation of Cuban music. The production has been recognized for its dynamic staging and musical performances, offering audiences a theatrical interpretation of a globally influential cultural phenomenon.
