Original Latin pop takes center stage as Café con Leche: The Frost Latin Songwriters Collective opens an evening of rhythm-driven celebration at the Hormel Innovation Stage.
Part of the Creative American Music Festival at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, this performance is led by Rey Sanchez and Roxana Amed and spotlights the collective’s vibrant, student-written repertoire. Drawing from contemporary Latin pop traditions while embracing cross-cultural influences, the ensemble blends polished songwriting with dynamic live performance.
Presented as “Bailar Toda la Noche,” the concert highlights Frost’s Latin Songwriters Collective, Café con Leche, a group dedicated to developing original music rooted in Latin American styles and modern pop sensibilities. The program reflects the spirit of the Creative American Music (CAM) initiative, which champions student composers and performers across genres ranging from pop and rock to Latin, R&B and beyond.
