A high-energy showcase of original rock and hip hop powers forward the Creative American Music Festival at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
CAM Fest: Pushing the Decibels | Landfall & RUCK takes place Wednesday, April 15 at the Hormel Innovation Stage at the Knight Center for Innovation. The concert features Landfall, Frost’s rock-driven main act, alongside RUCK, a hip hop and funk ensemble known for rhythm-forward grooves and dynamic stage presence. Together, the two groups deliver a night of student-created music shaped by contemporary influences and performance-driven intensity.
Directed by Brian Russell and Steve Rucker, the program highlights artists from Frost’s Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music (CAM) program and Contemporary Program. CAM Fest spotlights emerging singer-songwriters, bands and producers working at the intersection of pop, rock, hip hop and genre-blending experimentation. The annual festival offers a platform for original material developed within one of the nation’s leading collegiate programs dedicated to contemporary music creation.
General admission tickets are $10.
