This event has passed.
Classical masterworks and modern pop landmarks meet in a candlelit program that traces a musical line from the Baroque era to the 20th century.
Candlelight: From Bach to The Beatles takes place at First Church Miami, where the Collins Quartet presents a 60-minute concert under the soft glow of candlelight. The program bridges centuries of music, pairing works by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven and Claude Debussy with string arrangements of songs by The Beatles, highlighting shared melodic and emotional threads across eras.
Selections include Bach’s Cello Suite No. 3 alongside “Blackbird,” Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” and Beatles classics such as “Eleanor Rigby,” “Yesterday,” “Here Comes the Sun” and “A Day in the Life.” The performance is scheduled for Friday, February 20, with doors opening one hour before showtime. Seating is assigned on a first come, first served basis within each zone. The event is open to guests ages 8 and older, and First Church Miami is ADA accessible.
