Capoeira Experience

Capoeira’s blend of movement, rhythm and Afro-Brazilian cultural tradition is the focus of an all-levels workshop at Miami Ironside. The Capoeira Experience takes place Thursday, May 7 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Glassbox, an event space within the Upper Eastside creative complex. Led by Evolve Team, the workshop introduces participants to a practice that combines martial arts, music, dance and community exchange.

The session is designed for a range of experience levels, offering an accessible way to explore capoeira’s physical techniques and cultural foundations. Participants can expect a movement-based workshop shaped by rhythm, coordination and group interaction.

Glassbox at Miami Ironside is a 3,500-square-foot venue with onsite bathrooms, showers and a refillable water station. The surrounding Miami Ironside campus is a design-focused enclave in the Upper Eastside, known for its architecture, landscaped courtyards, arboretum and park-like setting near the historic Palm Grove neighborhood.
