Comic-book chaos, original songs and a classroom full of baby frogs close out Miami Theater Center’s 2026–27 Family Series in Miami Shores. Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical takes the stage Saturday, April 24, adapting Dav Pilkey’s bestselling spin-off series into a fast-paced production about storytelling, collaboration and creative confidence.
The story follows Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog as they launch a comic club for 21 energetic frogs, each with a very different idea about how stories should be told. As competing personalities and creative experiments begin to spiral, the group has to find a way to work together without losing the individuality that makes their stories their own.
Created by the team behind Dog Man: The Musical, the production uses humor, music and comic-book-inspired storytelling to explore the messy, collaborative process of making art and sharing ideas.
