Three decades of stand-up, television and film inform Cedric the Entertainer’s five-show engagement at Miami Improv Comedy Theater in Doral. Performances take place September 11-13, with two shows scheduled Friday and Saturday and a final Sunday evening set.
Cedric rose to national prominence through The Steve Harvey Show and the record-breaking Kings of Comedy tour, later captured in the concert film The Original Kings of Comedy. His screen career includes the Barbershop films, Johnson Family Vacation, First Reformed and the CBS comedy The Neighborhood, while his distinctive voice has appeared in animated projects including The Proud Family, Madagascar and Planes.
His stage work also includes Broadway productions of American Buffalo and August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. All performances are limited to guests ages 21 and older. A two-drink minimum applies inside the showroom, and seating is generally available on a first-come, first-served basis.
