Christa's South Seashells Photo Frame Workshop

A hands-on workshop at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden introduces participants to the art of creating decorative frames using seashells, guided by artist Christa Wilm. The session takes place Saturday, April 11, offering a small-group setting focused on craft and design. Wilm, whose work is featured at the Faena Hotel, leads the experience.

Participants will create a 5-by-7-inch frame using a curated selection of shells, corals and pearls, with all materials and tools provided. The workshop includes step-by-step instruction, allowing attendees to explore composition, texture and color while assembling their own piece.

Wilm’s practice draws on historical European shell art traditions, reinterpreted through contemporary design. Her work has appeared in hospitality and residential projects internationally, and the workshop reflects her approach to combining natural materials with decorative craftsmanship.
