Closing Gala of the Stars

Principal dancers from international ballet companies close the festival with a gala performance at The Fillmore Miami Beach. The 31st International Ballet Festival of Miami: Closing Gala of the Stars takes place Sunday, August 16, presenting Program 2 of the festival’s gala performances.

The annual closing gala brings together artists from prestigious ballet companies for an evening of classical and contemporary repertoire. As one of the festival’s culminating events, the program highlights the range of dancers, styles and international traditions represented throughout the season.

Presented by Miami Hispanic Ballet, the International Ballet Festival of Miami is now in its 31st year and is recognized as one of the major ballet festivals in the United States. The evening also includes the presentation of the Criticism and Culture of Ballet Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring distinguished dance critics and writers whose work has contributed to the appreciation, understanding and preservation of ballet.
