Nov 12, 2026
Starting: 8:00 PM
Common joins Nu Deco Ensemble for a genre-crossing concert that brings hip-hop, orchestral performance and cinematic songwriting to the Knight Concert Hall. The performance takes place Thursday, November 12 at 8 p.m. at the Adrienne Arsht Center as part of the 2026-2027 Live at Knight series. Conducted by Sam Hyken, the one-night program features selections from Common’s catalog arranged with Nu Deco’s hybrid orchestral sound.
Common’s career spans music, film, television, theater, writing and activism. Since his 1992 debut album Can I Borrow a Dollar?, he has become known for thoughtful lyricism and collaborations across genres, with honors including Grammy, Emmy and Academy Awards. The concert is expected to include songs such as “Love of My Life” and “Glory,” the Oscar-winning song from Selma, along with other fan favorites.
