Community Action Days: Plant Ecosystem Resilience

Hands-on volunteer opportunities invite the community to support environmental stewardship at Deering Estate.

Community Action Days take place on select Saturdays throughout the year. These one-day events are designed for individuals looking to contribute a few hours of service in a natural setting.

Participants assist with projects that support conservation and beautification efforts across the Estate’s grounds. Activities may include invasive plant removal, native planting, mulching and litter cleanup in and around the property. The program offers a structured, family-friendly way to engage with local ecology while building community connections.

Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. Registration is required via Miami-Dade County Parklink.
