Coyo Taco Major Lazer Mixtape Release Party

A Miami Art Week block party takes over Coyo Taco in Wynwood as Major Lazer marks the release of Gyalgerba with a fundraiser supporting Hurricane Melissa relief efforts in Jamaica. Beginning at 6 p.m., the celebration brings together music, community and philanthropy in one of the neighborhood’s most recognizable gathering spots.

The event features a Major Lazer Soundsystem set, joined by Miami DJ Chipman and dancehall figure Silent Addy. Rather than hosting a traditional release event, the collective has directed all ticket and merchandise proceeds to the American Friends of Jamaica and CORE, both active in ongoing disaster-response efforts. The party also arrives during a period of creative transition for the group, following the addition of British-Jamaican singer America Foster, whose vocals and presence are central to the new mixtape.

Tickets are sold at the door, and a free RSVP does not guarantee entry. The event takes place on Thursday, December 4 at Coyo Taco in Wynwood.
