Vocalist Lisa Polizzi revisits Janis Joplin’s songs and 1969 Woodstock performance in a tribute backed by a live band. CRYBABY: The Janis Joplin Experience comes to the Seminole Theatre in Homestead on Saturday, January 23, 2027, drawing on the singer’s blues and rock repertoire.
The production recreates music associated with Big Brother and the Holding Company, the Kozmic Blues Band and the Full Tilt Boogie Band, tracing different phases of Joplin’s career. Featured songs include “Piece of My Heart,” “Ball & Chain,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Cry Baby” and “Mercedes Benz,” with Polizzi interpreting Joplin’s distinctive vocal delivery and stage presence.
Tickets range from $28 to $45, with a transaction fee applying to orders. Every attendee requires a ticket, regardless of age.
