David Lachapelle: Vanishing Act

VISU Contemporary welcomes acclaimed photographer David LaChapelle back to Miami Beach for the grand opening of Vanishing Act, a new exhibition featuring more than 30 works spanning his career.

The free opening celebration takes place on Friday, December 5 from 6 to 9 p.m., offering guests a rare opportunity to experience LaChapelle’s work and meet the artist in person during Miami Art Week.

Vanishing Act brings together landmark photographs alongside nine world-premiere pieces and five new works never before released to collectors. Exploring the intersection of beauty, spirituality, and transformation, the exhibition reflects LaChapelle’s signature fusion of theatricality and introspection—capturing a world where artifice and authenticity collide.

By appointment only following the opening, Vanishing Act remains on view through February 1 at VISU Contemporary in Miami Beach.
