Duran Duran’s new wave and synth-pop catalog is recreated in a multimedia tribute combining live performance with visuals inspired by the British band’s distinctive 1980s aesthetic. Presented by the City of Aventura on Saturday, January 16, Double Duran: The Ultimate Duran Duran Experience comes to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center with a set built around some of the group’s best-known songs.
The production features hits including “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” “The Reflex” and “Girls on Film,” pairing the music with cinematic projections, period-inspired styling and arrangements that emphasize the layered synthesizers, bass lines and harmonies associated with Duran Duran’s sound.
