Mar 15, 2027
Starting: 7:30 PM
Habitable planets, liquid water and the possibility of extraterrestrial life are the focus of an evening with astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. His lecture, Search for Life in the Universe, takes place Monday, March 15 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater.
The program reviews ongoing scientific efforts to identify environments that could support life and investigate whether life exists elsewhere in the cosmos. It is one of several distinct lecture topics Tyson presents during his theater appearances.
Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, Tyson is also known for hosting Cosmos and the science-and-pop-culture podcast StarTalk. His books include Astrophysics for People in a Hurry and Starry Messenger: Cosmic Perspectives on Civilization, extending his work as a science communicator across television, publishing and live presentations.
