Southern rock guitarist Duane Betts brings blues-rooted riffs, extended improvisation and a strong connection to the genre’s history to The Moss Center with his band Palmetto Motel. The concert takes place Friday, January 15, with Betts leading a lineup that includes Johnny Stachela on guitar, Pedro Arevalo on bass, Vincent Fossett Jr. on drums and Max Butler on B-3 organ.
The son of Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts, Duane Betts has developed his own sound at the intersection of Southern rock, blues and roots music. His performances balance guitar-driven songs and storytelling with room for instrumental interplay and improvisational jams.
