A community gathering at Miami Worldcenter launches the start of Miami Climate Week with an afternoon focused on sustainability, education and neighborhood engagement. The Eco Block Party takes place Sunday, March 15.
Presented by the City of Miami Mayor’s Office and District 2 Commissioner Damian Pardo, the event brings together residents, local organizations and city representatives to explore practical solutions to environmental challenges affecting the region. Informational stations and demonstrations will highlight topics such as extreme heat preparedness, flood mitigation technologies and strategies for reducing plastic waste.
The program also includes live music by Guitars Over Guns, along with opportunities for attendees to connect with community organizations and environmental advocates working across Miami-Dade County. Educational partners participating in the event include Catalyst Miami, The CLEO Institute, Miami Climate Alliance, Compost for Life/Glass for Life, VolunteerCleanup.org and The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade.
Held in the open-air public spaces of Miami Worldcenter, the event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring refillable water bottles, with water stations provided onsite.
