Ecologies
Through Dec 06, 2025
Multiple event times
A series of public conversations and performances unfolds at Ice Palace Studios as Ecologies brings together cultural leaders, writers, curators and artists for a week of dialogue during NADA Miami 2025. Developed in partnership with the Knight Foundation, Pérez Art Museum Miami, Cultured and Cultural Counsel, the program explores how creative communities adapt, collaborate and imagine new structures of support.
Across five days, Ecologies presents panels, fireside conversations and special sessions that examine topics shaping the contemporary cultural landscape, from individual expression and civic responsibility to the future of regional criticism, the role of education in institutions and the shifting terrain between nonprofit and commercial models. Additional programming includes In the Know conversations, a deep-dive on Florida’s cultural narrative on the occasion of Cultural Counsel’s new book, and a two-day musical series, It started with bass …, led by Miami electronic pioneers Omar Clemetson and Romulo Del Castillo.
Participants this year range from museum directors and foundation leaders to independent publishers, artists, curators and critics, creating a cross-disciplinary forum that reflects the diversity of voices shaping Miami’s arts ecosystem. Together, the sessions trace how cultural work is being redefined in an era of rapid technological, economic and social change.
Ecologies takes place December 2–6 as part of NADA Miami. Programming is free with fair admission.
