Essence of America: Epstein/Wang/Larsen Trio

Pianist Daniel Epstein, violinist Xiao Wang and cellist Ben Larsen highlight the roots, diversity and cultural richness of America in a program that blends history and contemporary voices. The evening features Adolphus Hailstork’s Piano Trio, which moves from a solemn commemoration of the Holocaust to a spirited dance, alongside Nicky Sohn’s Rodeo and Antonín Dvořák’s Trio, a work that fuses Czech traditions with Native American and African American folk themes.
Presented as part of the 2025/2026 Martha/Mary Concerts season, the event includes free onsite parking, a post-concert reception with the artists, a tour of La Merced Chapel and a student art exhibit organized in partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
