Argentine tango and jazz converge in a performance by Grammy Award-winning pianist and composer Pablo Ziegler at Faena Theater. Presented Wednesday, May 12, the concert is the ninth installment of the 2026–27 Faena Jazz Series and features Ziegler’s Jazz Tango Trio.
A longtime member of Astor Piazzolla’s New Tango Quintet, Ziegler has continued developing nuevo tango through a blend of Argentine tradition, jazz improvisation and classical influences. With his trio, he brings that crosscurrent into a contemporary chamber setting shaped by rhythmic precision and improvisational exchange.
The annual Faena Jazz Series runs from October 2026 through June 2027 and is curated and produced by Grammy-nominated producer and artist Rachel Faro.
