Family Seagrass Adventure

Seagrass beds become a hands-on classroom during a guided marine-life exploration at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center. Held Saturday, October 24, the Family Seagrass Adventure invites participants to use a net in the shallow seagrass habitat and examine some of the small animals that live there.

A naturalist guide identifies the organisms collected, which may include seahorses, sea stars, pipefish and pufferfish, before they are gently released back into the water. The program is recommended for ages 7 and older. Admission is $15 per person.
