Felt & Fiber Masks With The Bass Museum of Art

Felt, yarn and layered textures become wearable art in a family mask-making workshop inspired by artist Sarah Zapata. Felt & Fiber Masks with The Bass Museum of Art takes place Friday, November 20 at the Create! Canopy in Children’s Alley, part of Miami Book Fair at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami.

Drawing on Zapata’s colorful textile works, participants layer, twist and arrange materials to create their own masks. The activity explores how color, pattern and texture can transform simple craft supplies into expressive designs.
