Fet Gede: RAM + Tafa Mi Soleil

Pay respects to the dearly departed on Fet Gede, Haitian Day of the Dead, with a performance by mizik rasin (roots music) Haitian band RAM and rising star Tafa Mi Soleil, at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Friday, November 8. Led by the renowned Voudou rock band RAM, this event honors Haiti’s all-souls’-day holiday, Gede, with a mix of drumming, singing and dancing. RAM’s music blends traditional Haitian rhythms like rara, kompa, twoubadou and voudou with rock influences, creating a powerful sound that celebrates resilience and cultural heritage. Rising star Tafa Mi Soleil, recognized as “Best Female Artist of the Year” at the 2023 Haitian Music Awards, will also perform, showcasing her unique voice and dedication to Haitian roots and culture. This event is produced by Rhythm Foundation in partnership with Fondasyon Zaka and Djaiye.
