A beachfront watch party on Miami Beach marks the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026 with a live broadcast of Mexico vs. South Africa, large screens and a post-game concert. FIFA World Cup 2026 Kickoff Watch Party & Concert takes place Thursday, June 11 at 10th Street and Ocean Drive, presented by the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee as part of the City of Miami Beach’s summer World Cup programming. The free public event brings fans together on the sand for the tournament’s opening ceremonies and opening match before an evening concert headlined by Carlos Vives.
The opening match will be shown on multiple large screens, creating a shared viewing experience along the beach. After the broadcast, the celebration continues with a concert featuring DJ Cassidy and headliner Carlos Vives, the Colombian singer-songwriter known for blending vallenato, pop and rock influences.
Event schedule:
- 2 p.m.: Doors open
- 3 p.m.: Live broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremonies and opening match
- 6 p.m.: Concert begins
Admission is free and open to the public. Reserved seating is available for the first 1,000 Miami Beach residents who register.
