Fishing for Beginners

Fish identification, basic techniques and responsible angling practices form the foundation of a beginner-friendly fishing class at Bill Sadowski Park & Nature Center. The program is offered Sunday, August 30 and Saturday, September 12, with instruction led by Miami EcoAdventures. Participants will learn about fish biology and ethical fishing practices before putting those skills to use during hands-on instruction.

Fishing equipment is provided, though participants may bring their own gear if preferred. The program is open to adults and to children ages 9 to 17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Programs are subject to minimum enrollment, weather and environmental conditions.
